Dale Mackey was shed hunting in the early 1990′s when he came across these magnificent antlers. Found in central Utah, these sheds score 265 gross B&C. This buck is believed to have been taken by a hunter in 1986 and scores 257 4/8 net B&C. But it may have just come from the same gene pool.

I may have some information about this buck or possibly a buck that came from this bucks same gene pool – My Brother shot a buck that looks very similar to this one (not as heavy, possibly not a good food year) but very similar in point shape and grouping. The buck that I have on my wall was shot in either 1981 or 1982 in Twelve mile canyon outside of Mayfield Utah. If this is possible I would be interested in knowing more about the Shed’s found.
